Panjabi Lok Kala Intro

In 1997, when I lived in London, Maryla Podarewska-Jakubowska, an architect from Warsawa, Poland, suggested me to organise a Study Tour of the Folk Arts, Crafts and Architecture of the Panjab.

In March 1978, Maryla invited other friends and formed a group of 8 to take this tour.

This preliminary Report is the result of this study. Beside we also came back with thousands of pictures of examples of beautifully decorated houses in the villages. Unfortunately, I have been going to the panjab and most of these beautifully do crated houses has been pulled down and replace with modern ones.

We have only few copies of this report left, but all the material shall posted on this site.

If you have interest in the Panjabi culture, arts and literatures or have material on the subjects, please share your material with the wider world.

We want to share our inherited beautiful culture with our future generations to come; those would not have the chance to see in reality.
